Data needed for registration
When you create an account: We store your e-mail and the sites you destroy and post highscores to. The latest 5 pages might be displayed on your profile page as your "feed".
Purpose for processing
To enable a safe and secure environment and deliver this service we may collect:
Kept until you request deletion
- Your e-mail address (if you give it to us)
- Your Facebook profile image (if you give it to us)
Kept for 30 days
- Your IP address (by visiting our servers, for security)
- Your browser type (by visiting our servers, for security)
- Your operating system (by visiting our servers, for security)
Cookies and third party services
Kick Ass uses the following third party services that might set cookies, or store data about your visit.
- Facebook Platform - For login
- Google Analytics - For anonymous usage analytics
- Adsterra - An ad network
- Stripe - Secure payments platform for KickAss MySite
If we find that any ad networks do anything naughty with your data, we'll remove them as fast as we can and notify you if possible.
How to delete your account and data
You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1 — Delete it yourself (recommended)
- Log in to your account and go to your account settings.
- Scroll down to the "Delete account" section.
- Click the red "Delete" button and confirm. Your account and associated data will be removed immediately.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it for you
If you cannot log in or would prefer we handle it, send an e-mail to erik@rootof.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". If you registered via Facebook, include your username so we can locate your account. We will process the request and confirm by e-mail within 30 days.
The following data is removed when your account is deleted:
- Your e-mail address
- Your Facebook profile image and any linked Facebook identifiers
- Your username, profile, highscores, and the list of sites you have destroyed
- Any feed entries associated with your account
Server log data (IP address, browser type, operating system) is automatically deleted after 30 days regardless of whether you delete your account.
